Harlequin

This strange building is the HQ of Saxo Bank, an online bank that has had some success in the past couple of years. This building is all angles and glass mixed with white panels. It can be argued that it's an acquired taste, but it sure do turn heads even in this area.

Tomorrow I'll show you some photos of the building next door to this one.

  1. A bit of a show-off but this seems the matter of architecture now. What long time ago was solid and elegant now has to be odd and gaudy.
    But I have to confess that I like this building!
    If the next door one is what we can foresee on the right of the last photo, they even look well together.

  2. What fantastic photos...I think you probably actually accentuate the beauty of this building with your knack for photo composition! Fascinating post, as usual...fabulous photos--a matter of course!!!!!! ~Janine

  3. @Vogon: The taste in architecture has changed over the years, and at the moment the architects try to outdo eachother. Some of the buildings are probably very impractical. In this one it's a lottery if you get a window office with a view or with a white panel to cover the view.

    @Asta: Like you I'm not sure what to think. But it's an improvement over a square grey building in steel and glassthat has been the norm.

    @janine: Thanks for the praise:-)
