Sunday Special II

Although today is a sunny day in Copenhagen I bring you this little photo taken only a week ago as a reminder that spring is a season of changes. The photo was taken a very foggy morning at Valby Park near my home. Compare it with the ones below and you can see that change has come to the weather here.

This one is from the canal in Christianshavn in Copenhagen where people really enjoyed the sun yesterday.

And keeping with my theme of reflections is this one also from Christianshavn yesterday. The canal is full of sailing boats and house boats, so it's no problem to find one that is nicely reflected in the water.

Even though there will be a daily post here (they're already written and planned), it's holiday season so I might not be that quick to answer your comments for the next couple of weeks. But don't worry; I'll get back to your comments as soon as possible.

  1. A visit to Denmark is in my Bucket List.

    There's nothing quite so splendid as the arrival of spring in its warm glory after the cold, dark, foggy winter!

    Thanks for stopping by Ocala DP!

  3. I have already confessed my bias against B&W, so I can fairly comment that I prefer the color images.
    The first one (boy & girl) is efferate in showing so much beautiful colors in so many accidental ways.
    Personally, I consider the reflection shot of the boat a little masterpiece of yours. Great shot!

  4. I have my own tittle for your last pic, "Gloomy Sunday", but of course don't have the feeling to do 'that' :)). It's already Monday here and sunny...Spring finally here, and in Japan, it's quite obvious to see the seasons changing from the way people dressed although I sometimes see short pants during winter ;).
    Agree with Vogon Poet, I vote for the boat!
    Happy holidaying, Sir.

  5. @Jacob: Make sure that it'll be in summertime unless you enjoy grey weather...and even there you can't be sure.
    @Vogon poet: I mostly agree with you on B/W; I like colors too but sometimes a photo can benefit in being converted to B/W. It should be done after a bit of consideration. In this case there just wasn't much colors from the start, only grey fog. But I too likes the last one best.
    @henny: It was a gloomy morning just before work (or maybe it was just the thought of work?) Here the spring has really kicked in and people takes to the streets and cafés. We often forget that the sea around us is really cold and therefore so too is the wind so atires varies from shorts to wintercoats.
    @Joan: Thanks.
