The forgotten fort

This fort is probably the most run-down fort of them all. It's the Bagsværdfortet, built in 1891-92 in the triangular shape. It was armed with 8 120mm guns in turrets that covered the ground around the fort and covered the area to the next forts. Like the rest of the fortifications it was abandoned in 1920 and turned over to other uses.

From 1950 until 2008 it was used as a storage facility for the films from the Danish Filmmuseum, until they got a better place. A youth club is occupying parts of the area, but otherwise this fort is abandoned. It's almost totally covered in greenery and in need of a handyman. To get in you only have to bypass the fence, climb down a steep slope and then use your machete!
