A sight as this has unfortunately become more and more common in Copenhagen, despite the best intentions from the city's officials. And with the current economic crisis it probably won't get better anytime soon.
Christian, it's a bit too easy to say that it's their own fault. With the downsizing of the psychiatric system in Denmark and very rigid rules and demands of the social security system, a lot of people fall between the gabs here. They need money to buy the medication that they need to meet the demands to get the money in the first place. A vicious circle is all too easy to get into and nearly impossible to get out of.
