In 1917 the Axeltorv Square was formally established and named after the founder of Copenhagen Bishop Absalon.
The Scala building from 1989 on Axeltorv is being demolished at the moment. Future plans for this once so historic building and the Axeltorv venue include a new library and offices.

Closed for renovation
