For as long as I can remember, people in Copenhagen have used the answer "Under the clock" to the question about where to meet in town. For someone not in the know, this might be a bit confusing, but the clock is this one at the Central Station. Actually it's not this clock we mentioned in my childhood, as it has been moved and replaced more than once.
This clock will once again be replaced in the next few month with a digital one, as "time has ran out" as the head of the train station so delicat mentioned.....
ReplyDeleteIt can be bought on e-bay and there have already been several offers, which make me wonder who ever would have a pigeon pooed giant clock in theire houses....?
It'll be a shame with the digital clock as I think the old ones have more soul. The old clocks are pretty sought after, even the smaller ones that have been replaced and sold off. I guess it'll take a bit of scrubbing before they are admitted into anyone's home.
