Denmark's latest bridge under construction

This photo was taken recently and shows the new pedestrian and cycle bridge which will connect Nyhavn and Christianshavn. The project is part of an effort to tie the various parts of Copenhagen together. This will make it easier for locals and tourists to enjoy the relatively unique and different feel each area has.

  1. Aside from the satisfaction it can give to the tourists, building this bridge might also do well for the two connecting cities’ progress. From better transportation, they can serve as the new holding grounds for trades, businesses, and that would bring much bigger opportunities for employment as well.

  2. You're right, Carl. It would definitely open up a lot of opportunities for people looking for a decent job. However, we should also think about the fact that it could also significantly increase the population in both areas. Anyway, the project is expected to be finished in February 2013; I'll be looking forward to that.
