"Where's the Little Mermaid" is a question much asked by tourists in Copenhagen at any time and answered by some quick directions, but at this time the directions will not be easy; she has been moved to Shanghai as part of the Danish pavilion at the World Fair there. Now all that is left is a very small version of her at her usual place and a video installation showing her in Shanghai. A copy can be seen in Tivoli though.
Cute, she is! Christopher... I am thinking about a European holiday in August... any insight as to any interesting places in Denmark... somewhere off the beaten track but full of interesting places?
ReplyDeleteHi CathM. Lots of places like that in Denmark. I could recommend a trip to the island of Fünen (Fyn in Danish) where there's small, nice towns with old houses and a lot of atmosphere. Even in and around Copenhagen there's places where tourists normally wouldn't come, like on the island of Amager. It all depends on your interests as there's something for nearly everyone here. If you want something more specific feel free to mail me at christopher.leth@gmail.com
