Malta is used as a location for a lot of movies; Munich, Gladiator, Alexander, Casino Royale and Troy, just to mention a few, were all shot in part here. One of the movies left behind the whole set near Mellieha, so that you now can visit Popeye's village. It is now used as a kind of amusement park for tourists and locals alike.
