At the Eagle's Nest you're high up in the Bavarian Alps but you can get higher as these tourists have discovered.

Eagle's Nest

Just south of Munich is the Alps and in the area of Obersalzberg is the Berchtesgarden and Kehlsteinhaus, Hitler's former tea house, also known as the Eagle's Nest. Below it lay the Berghoff which is now totally destroyed but on the site there's a very good museum about the Nazi-period here. We only had a few hours here before the trip took us further south through Austria, but it was worth it.
