One of the few places in Rome not teeming with tourists is the district Mussolini planned, the EUR. This residential and business district might seem a bit off the beaten track to many visitors but it's interesting I think. Some of the buildings are spectacular in a way only a totalitarian could envision like this Palazzo della Civiltá Italiana.
