But as the art historian, I have a hard time seeing the jet pilot:-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04780385347977987793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158649145821787628.post-70185134358038966862011-02-16T13:39:46.874+01:002011-02-16T13:39:46.874+01:00I attended a presentation given by the city counci...I attended a presentation given by the city council's art historian a few weeks ago and he said he thought the artist was deceiving people with this title. He thought the piece resembled more a crucification than a jet pilot. Of course both motives share the prospect of immediate "ascension"..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158649145821787628.post-31750317001702938232011-02-09T08:01:22.006+01:002011-02-09T08:01:22.006+01:00Thanks for your tour and your comments, Deidre-Ann...Thanks for your tour and your comments, Deidre-Ann, they are appreciated, even though I don't agree on it all.

You're absolutely right, my comments are seen from my own view, as this is my blog after all:-) Of course I don't see myself as especially narrow minded, often quite the opposite.

I do care for my city and do have opinions about what is going on here and elsewhere. The photographs and comments are my side of the story of what and how I see the world around me.

I'm not a journalist, so I think I'm allowed to have an "angle", and even journalists that I know of, very often have an angle hidden in their reporting...

Again thanks for your constructive and on the whole nice comments:-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04780385347977987793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158649145821787628.post-2089424671436499282011-02-09T05:28:59.944+01:002011-02-09T05:28:59.944+01:00Thanks for a wonderfull tour around your pictures,...Thanks for a wonderfull tour around your pictures, I like and recognise most of them.

As much as I like the way you point your lense I don't like your comments on the pictures, they are, from my point of view, very narrow minded and only seen from your own view, and that's for me as a journalist all wrong.

There is more to a picture than meets the eye.....Deirdre-Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17939821190536893437noreply@blogger.com
